Amphasys Z40

The Ampha Z40 Pollen Analyzer is a new high-end laboratory instrument for pollen analysis. It efficiently analyzes pollen viability and pollen concentration in a single measurement, serving needs from plant breeding to seed production. This unlabeled cell analysis device is based on Impedance Flow Cytometry, measuring changes in electrical resistance as cells pass through an electric field. The absence of optical components minimizes setup time and maintenance, allowing measurements in the field or greenhouse. The Ampha Z40 measures pollen of all relevant plant species, with support for over 250 species. It can also determine pollen ploidy and developmental stages of microspores.
